Kanwal Speaks - February 11, 2015 at 09:27PM

Judiciary has a well defined role, powers and limitations as vested by the supreme Indian Constitution, so that so, no provision of the constitution has given it the autocratic powers to interfere in the constitutional legislative processes and/or to issue diktats to gag the freewill of the legislatures. No function of judiciary, as explained in constitutional provisions, allows it to act anti-democracy in any manner or in contempt to the powers exclusively vested with the legislature. So thus the judges, while dealing with such issues or with the certain other grey areas, should restrict themselves to the role envisioned for them in structure defined of our system by our forefathers and should not let themselves to go beyond the mandate available with them and should otherwise mend themselves from acting extra-judicial or anti-constitutional. #Kanwal
