State Information Commission Punjab ordered to the Public Information Officer, O/o DGP Punjab to conduct investigation and submit report before the commission on next date, on my complaint filed with its office but no action been taken till date, and thus an RTI Application had been been filed to know its status, which again went unanswered, and thus the complaint case against the respondent PIO, in which too there was improper handling of RTI Application by the PIO as observed and recorded in previous order by the bench of Chief Information Commissioner involving unlawful transfer of RTI Application after 2 hearings on the matter in commission to office of Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, which was strongly opposed by me on the ground of total violation of the provision of 6(3) of the RTI Act, 2005, which restricts the time limit of such transfer by not more than 5 days in any case. It is, thus, the bench of the CIC fixed the responsibility of PIO, O/o DGP, Punjab to conduct the investigation and submit report, in this matter.
