Other things apart, but by no means the recent legislation to amend the Sikh Gurudwara Act, 1925 has banned the entry of Sahajdharis in Gurudwaras or has barred them from taking part in anything else happening over there as common devotees except the right to vote to select the members of the management committee conducting the administrative affairs of the Gurudwaras only in region of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.
