Kanwal Speaks - December 09, 2015 at 05:05AM

There is a big flaw in the provision of impeachment / removal of Delhi's proposed Jan Lokpal Bill which can create a total deadlock, embarrassment and clash between legislature and judiciary, as in the said bill there has no solution been provided for a concerning situation that what would happen in the case if a Lokpal been found as corrupt or of compromised integrity in a due investigation been conducted by the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, as proposed in the bill, but the two-third of legislature do not agree to impeach the one even after same, due to any malafide reason. In such a case, would that Lokpal continue to hold the office and also would any order passed by his office after that, in case the one continues, hold the sanctity to the same level as it would had been before? #Kanwal
