ORDERS RESERVED BY THE FULL BENCH OF STATE INFORMATION COMMISSION PUNJAB IN A COMPLAINT CASE KAWALDEEP SINGH Vs KHALSA COLLEGE CHARITABLE SOCIETY AMRITSAR 03.02.2016 A full bench of State Information Commission Punjab reserved it's orders in a complaint case titled Kawaldeep Singh vs. Khalsa College Charitable Society Amritsar dated 03.02.2016 in a matter of Complaint Case filed against President, Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar in State Information Commission, Punjab u/s 18 of RTI Act, 2005 to challenge the reply from the respondent about their malafide denial to an Information Request through an RTI Application with a wrongful claim of not being a Public Authority to be covered under the act, in which the respondent society was directed to send the reply to complainant on Affidavits as per the last orders of this full bench of the commission and via registered post at his address, to the contentions given by the complainant in his complaint dated 14.05.2015 and in the separate written submissions made before the full bench of the commission dated 25.06.2015 and 08.09.2015. Respondent filed affidavit on oath to which the complainant again replied in writing and the arguments of both parties were heard in details by the full bench before keeping the final orders reserved in the matter to decide whether the respondent society is a Public Authority or not as per RTI Act, 2005. PS: Sh. Satyajeet Singh Majithia (father of Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Cabinet Minister, Government of India and Sh. Bikramjit Singh Majithia, Cabinet Minister, State Government of Punjab, Father-In-Law of Sh. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab and thus close relative of Sh. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab) is the President of the Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar, while Sh. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina (Deputy President, State BJP Unit of Punjab), is Honorary Secretary.
